Booking Conditions
Please read the following terms and conditions carefully. You must not accept any booking unless you understand and agree with the following terms and conditions.
HOW TO BOOK - Contact SWISS TRIP TRAVEL SERVICES either via the website of directly over the telephone. Please note that all reservations are subject to availability at the time of booking. Any verbal quotation provided is an estimate only of the price which will be subject to advice on confirmation of the booking.
PRICES - All prices quoted on the website and on quotations provided are subject to availability and can be withdrawn or varied without notice. No surcharges in respect of costs or currency deterioration will be made once full payment for your holiday has been received. The price of your holiday package is not guaranteed until full payment is received by SWISS TRIP TRAVEL SERVICES.
CONFIRMATION, DEPOSIT AND FINAL PAYMENT - A deposit of AUD$600 per person or as otherwise stated is payable within 7 days of confirmation of your ski holiday booking. If deposits are not received within 7 days we reserve the right to cancel your booking. All deposits are non-refundable. Some service providers may require payment in full at the time of booking.
Final payment of your holiday is due 60 days prior to departure or we reserve the right to treat your booking as cancelled and apply the appropriate cancellation charges. For bookings made within 60 days of departure full payment is required within 24 hours of confirmation or your booking may be automatically cancelled.
CANCELLATIONS, REFUNDS AND USED SERVICES - Cancelled bookings will incur charges. We are unable to provide a refund to you until we receive the funds from the relevant supplier. The charges below will be made in the event of a cancellation, or if holiday arrangements are not cancelled and subsequently not taken up (no show):
- Prior to full payment – there will be no refund of deposit.
- After final payment – there will be no refund of your deposit, plus fees may be charged by hotels and ground operators up to 100% of the cost.
No refund is available for cancellations after the holiday package has commenced or in respect of any tours, accommodation or any other services not fully or partly-utilised. Fees will also apply where a booking is changed or tickets are re-issued. Please ask your travel agent at time of booking for additional SUPPLIER booking conditions and cancellation fees.
CREDIT CARD TRANSACTIONS - Credit card surcharges of 1.9% for Visa, MasterCard and American Express and 3% for Diners Club will apply when paying by credit card. If for any reason any travel service provider is unable to provide services for which you have contracted, your remedy lies against that provider, and not against SWISS TRIP TRAVEL SERVICES. In the event that payment has been made to SWISS TRIP TRAVEL SERVICES by credit card, you agree that you will not seek to charge back your payment to SWISS TRIP TRAVEL SERVICES.
TAXES - Certain taxes are mandatory in various countries. There may also be an additional local tax charged at some airports. All taxes are subject to change without notice.
NOT INCLUDED IN THE PACKAGE PRICE - The cost of airfares, passports, visas and airport taxes, where applicable, are not included in the price, nor are items of a personal nature such as laundry, meals, taxis, travel insurance or excess baggage. Government and local authority charges may apply.
TRAVEL DOCUMENTS - Travel documents include (without limitation) hotel vouchers, tour vouchers or any other document (whether in electronic form or otherwise) used to confirm an arrangement with a service provider. Travel documents may be subject to certain conditions and/or restrictions including (without limitation) being non-refundable, non-date-changeable and subject to cancellation and/or amendment fees. All travel documents are non transferable. Any errors in names on your documentation will be your responsibility if not advised at the time of booking. It is your responsibility to collect all travel documents from us prior to travel. Please contact your consultant before collection to confirm that the travel documents are ready for collection.
TRAVEL INSURANCE - We strongly recommend that, at the time of booking, you purchase a comprehensive travel insurance policy. Travel insurance is strongly recommended by the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade for all overseas travel.
PASSPORTS & VISAS - It is your responsibility to ensure that you have valid passports, visas and re-entry permits which meet the requirements of immigration and other government authorities. Any fines, penalties, payments or expenditures incurred as a result of such documents not meeting the requirements of those authorities will be your sole responsibility. All travellers must have a valid passport for international travel and many countries require at least 6 months validity from the date of entry.
HOTEL DESCRIPTIONS - Descriptions featured on the website and in quotations are based on current international hotel guides and contractual agreements provided by hotels and suppliers. Any facilities shown as included are subject to change at any time.
HEALTH - It is your responsibility to ensure that you are in good physical health, are aware of any health requirements for your travel destination and to ensure that you carry all necessary vaccination documentation.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS - Please advise your consultant of any special requirements you may have, for example, special meals, medical requirements and so on.
WEATHER CONDITIONS - Under no circumstances can SWISS TRIP TRAVEL SERVICES be held responsible for adverse snow or weather conditions. Cancellations and alterations on the basis of snow or weather conditions are subject to the cancellation and amendment terms outlined above.
OTHER TERMS FOR PACKAGES & SPECIALS - Special conditions usually apply for "packages" and "specials" (e.g. early payment, minimum nights stays, age limits, limited travel dates). Such conditions are in addition to, and can override, these terms and conditions. These additional terms and conditions will be advised to you at the time of booking and contained in documents and materials provided to you.
AGENCY - SWISS TRIP TRAVEL SERVICES acts as a travel agent only. We sell various travel related products on behalf of numerous transport, accommodation and other wholesale service providers. SWISS TRIP TRAVEL SERVICES' obligation is to make travel bookings on your behalf and to arrange relevant contracts between you and travel service providers. We have no responsibility for these services nor do we make or give any warranty or representation regarding their standard. All bookings are made subject to the terms and conditions and limitations of liability imposed by these service providers. Your legal recourse is against the specific provider and not SWISS TRIP TRAVEL SERVICES. If for any reason, any travel service provider is unable to provide the services for which you have contracted your remedy lies against the provider and not with SWISS TRIP TRAVEL SERVICES.
LIABILITY - We do not accept any liability of whatever nature, whether in contract, tort or otherwise, for the acts, omissions or default, whether negligent or otherwise, of third party providers over whom we have no direct control. Under circumstances where liability cannot be excluded, such liability is limited to the value of the purchased travel arrangements. We do not accept any liability in contract, tort or otherwise for any injury, damage, loss (including consequential loss), delay, additional expense or inconvenience caused directly or indirectly by force majeure or any other event which is beyond our control which is not preventable by reasonable diligence on our part.
SWISS TRIP TRAVEL SERVICES reserves the right to cancel or change any holiday package or service without notice at any time. In the event of cancellation or change, SWISS TRIP TRAVEL SERVICES will offer alternative arrangements if any are available or, if alternative arrangements are not available or are reasonably unacceptable to you, we will refund that part of any money paid which relates to the part of the holiday or service that has been cancelled or changed. Apart from that refund and subject to any statutory provision to the contrary, SWISS TRIP TRAVEL SERVICES will not be liable.
CONSUMER CLAIMS - If any difficulties are experienced while you are on holiday, you should attempt to rectify these immediately and directly with the applicable supplier. In the case of issues which could not be resolved in this way and you wish to lodge a claim on your return, this must be made in writing, with full supporting documentation, within 30 days of your return. This claim must be submitted to SWISS TRIP TRAVEL SERVICES who will forward the claim to the supplier on your behalf and cannot be held responsible for delays in this case.

BOOKING CONDITIONS SPECIFIC TO SWISS TRIP ORIENTATION DAYS - You acknowledge that SWISS TRIP orientation days involve physical exercise at high altitude. Participation in orientation days is on a voluntary basis. SWISS TRIP orientation days are arranged around a flexible itinerary that can change without prior notice due to mountain conditions, safety concerns or at the discretion of the SWISS TRIP personnel.
Should SWISS TRIP personnel deem it advisable to amend an orientation day for any reason, it may do so by shortening, varying or re-routing the skiing/boarding route across the mountain. These changes are binding and additional expenses will be charged to you if the reason for any alteration is outside SWISS TRIP's control. While skiing/boarding with SWISS TRIP personnel you agree to accept their authority at all times.
SWISS TRIP personnel always endeavour to ensure the safety of all it's participating skiers/snowboarders at all times. However, SWISS TRIP will not be held liable for any injury, damage, loss, delay or irregularity that may occur. SWISS TRIP TRAVEL SERVICES will not accept responsibility or liability for any traveller who contravenes any law or regulation of Switzerland.
