Leukerbad offers fantastic access to the Alps and an incredible range of winter sporting activities. For skiers and snowboarders Leukerbad offers 15 well organised installations (lifts), access to 60 km of piste and an extensive range of off-piste and tree skiing opportunities. This panoramic ski area offers a great level of diversity for all levels of skiers and snowboarders. For the kids, the beginner and nursery slopes will provide days of entertainment and learning fun. Oh, did we mention the terrain park for those who are that way inclined and need some air. Don’t stop there; Leukerbad is also one of the best places to access the Alps and enjoy other winter activities. The Gemmipass, which is accessed via another cableway offers over 40 km of winter walking tracks, 3 km of tobogganing trails, endless signposted snowshoe walking tracks and a spectacular spot for lunch. Leukerbad’s Fire & Snow Festival will give you a real taste of mountains. Participate in the varied festival activities across the ski area during the day and enjoy a night of culinary delights and live entertainment.
Grandiose fire shows create a spectacular spectacle in the centre of the snowbound landscape while the sun sets over the Rhone Valley. In the evening, the “Great Fantasy Night” at the Rinderhütte begins with a live concert and ends with a grand fireworks display that casts a captivating light across the snowy scenery.

Carnival in Leukerbad
January - February
Carnival in Leukerbad is something special: enjoy the "Guggenmusik" concert in the thermal bath, various balls and the lovely childrens' parade. In 2008 the "Füdinis" will be back in town again.
From the "Guggenmusik" concert to the Füdi race and the many events on "Fat Thursday", carnival time in Leukerbad has a lot to offer. A detailed carnival programme with all events and culinary carnival specialties and many other things is available in Leukerbad.
Snowsports Challenge
January to March
The snowsport challenge takes place every year and comprises a series of races with a fun giant slalom for the whole family, organised by Leukerbad snowsports school.
All categories women - men - children receive scores. The age differences and the theoretical time difference between the various snowsports (e.g. snowboard, snowblade, telemark, carving, etc.) are added in percentages to the time needed to complete the run by means of a time bonus or additional time.
