Swiss Trip Travel Advice

Swiss Trip Travel Advice

We've learnt a few things over the years. Here's some straight up advice to consider when planning your trip to Switzerland.

Getting the most from your holiday

Getting the most from your holidayThis is simple but priceless advice. If taking a long flight to get to Switzerland, allow yourself some time to recover before heading out to your resort. Organise a hotel for the day you arrive and take it easy and get a good nights sleep. The next day when you head out to your resort you’ll be fresh and ready to go.

Resort Transfers

Resort TransfersNot sure whether to take a train transfer or vehicle transfer to your ski resort?

Train Transfer. If you've travelled a bit before you'll most likely question the reliability of trains anywhere in the world. Switzerland is the exception to the rule. Swiss trains are convenient, clean, quiet, on time and very efficient for getting to and from your destination. Tickets also include cable cars and mountain trains so you are easily able to get right into your resort where either Swiss Trip or your hotel will pick you up and take you right to the door of your hotel.

Vehicle transfers. If you've got a lot of luggage, lots of kids or don't mind paying the price, vehicle transfers maybe a good option.

Travelling with Children in Cold Climates

Travelling with Children in Cold ClimatesWe've learnt that children are quite tough when it comes to the cold. But if they do get cold they'll let you know about it and your day on the mountain will be over. Apart from the obvious clothing issues – no skin showing – access to additional layers – fuel is important. Their young metabolisms will deal well with the cold although will let them down quickly if they don't have enough energy. Ensure your kids have access to healthy snacks and drink plenty of fluids during your skiing day.

Please contact Swiss Trip if you would to ask any questions or would like more information of any of the above points.
