Challenge yourself on the largely intermediate to advanced slopes and be sure to stop and enjoy the scenic views of the four thousand meter high peaks of the Valais Alps. Situated at 1411 m above sea level and surrounded on three sides by the fascinating and awe-inspiring Valais mountains, Leukerbad is the largest thermal spa and wellness resort in the alps. The 3.9 million litres of thermal water that flows daily into the private and public baths of Leukerbad comes out of the source at a temperature of 51° degrees Celsius. The thermal water comes from the mountain region called Torrent, where the water seeps 2500 m into the ground before it comes out at Leukerbad.
